Description

The 20709SE 2:1 selector is designed to support output data rates up to 20 Gbps.  Two input data streams up to 10 Gbps are merged into one double-rate data stream by using a select signal up to 10 GHz.  The polarity of the select signal determines which data input is buffered to the output.  If one data input is fixed low (high), the part performs NRZ-to-RZ (RH) conversion of the other data input.

Each data input and the differential select inputs are on-chip DC coupled and terminated with 50 Ω resistors to V.  A REF control signal is used to select the threshold reference voltage for the two single-ended data inputs.  The differential data outputs should be DC or AC terminated off-chip with 50 Ω resistors to AC ground.

The 20709SE operates from a single +3.3 V power supply and is available in a ceramic land grid array (LGA) package or in die form.  The packaged part is also available on an evaluation board with SMA connectors.
