Description
The 4311DZ is a high-speed optical modulator driver capable of driving differential (dual drive) Mach-Zehnder modulators with Pi-voltage (Vp) from 4 to 8 volts. The device’s superior edge rates, excellent eye quality, and low jitter make the 4311DZ ideal for applications such as high-bit-rate NRZ transmission systems.
The 4311DZ generates high-quality NRZ data streams to 43 Gbps, with typical rise and fall times of 8 ps.
The 4311DZ provides output amplitude and eye-cross adjust control pins to help simplify the customer’s transmitter design. The driver exhibits a large output amplitude swing and extremely fast rise and fall times. It operates from +8 V and –5.2 V power supplies and is available in a metal package with V connectors or in die form.
