Description
The 4336TA transimpedance amplifier (TIA) is designed for use with a PIN photodetector for 40G VSR applications. The TIA includes an internal DCA feedback loop that automatically adjusts the decision threshold of the limiting amplifier to compensate for variations in the average input current.
The 4336TA includes an adjustable bandwidth and peaking feature that allows the user to optimize receiver frequency response. The TIA allows for typical receiver bandwidth of 31 GHz when in the default bandwidth state.
The 4336TA provides 3.5 kΩ of differential gain and differential output amplitude of 550 mVpp, eliminating the need for a separate post amp. It operates off a single +3.3 V power supply and is available in die form
(1130 µm x 830 µm).
