The IN3214SZ is a 32.5 Gbps quad linear Mach Zehnder (MZ) modulator driver for next-generation 100G/400G coherent systems. The IN3214SZ is designed to enable complex modulation formats such as 16 QAM. This allows the optical rate to remain unchanged from today’s coherent systems, while increasing the amount of information to be transmitted by a factor of two.
The IN3214SZ provides SMT differential inputs and GPPO outputs to interface directly with next generation digital-to-analog converters (DAC) and OIF-compliant Mach-Zehnder modulators, respectively.
The IN3214SZ accepts differential inputs and produces linear outputs.
The IN3214SZ has high bandwidth and offers an adjustable gain range.
The IN3214SZ provides output peak detectors for closed loop control of DAC inputs and a temperature monitor. It is designed to allow the user to turn off one or more channels to support various modulation formats.
The IN3214SZ is available in a RoHS6-compliant multi-chip module with SMT inputs and GPPO output connectors.
